YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES AT THE GARABEDIAN GROUP 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following competencies, or has the desire to develop these competencies through training: 

• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and business advisory.

• In-depth interaction and communication regarding complex tax and accounting matters with clients.

• Advising clients on a variety of business related issues, including federal and state tax returns, changes in tax laws and compliance.

• Preparation of federal and state tax returns: Individual, Corporate, Trust, and partnership returns of various complexities.

• Respond to notices from taxing authorities that may include preparation of letters and phone calls to agencies.

• Preparation of tax projections to assist clients with personal financial planning and decision-making.

• Conducting tax research, as needed.

• Bookkeeping including recording of transactions, adjusting journal entries and trial balance reconciliation.

• Preparation of financial statements and related footnotes.

• Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards.

• Ability to self-manage workflow and client projects.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Minimum of 1 year of public accounting experience preferred.

• Experience on tax software like UltraTax, ProSystems, Lacerte, and Quickbooks Desktop/Online.

• Experience preparing tax returns - Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S.

• Demonstrate excellent team skills, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exhibit strong project management skills and computer skills.

• Exhibit strong project management skills, time management, and the ability to work mindfully with others. 

• Proactive and motivated with personal accountability for professional growth.
